If you like it or not... salt is a major ingredient in bread. We try to keep salt to the bare minimum but still there we will never be a bread without any of it, from us... if you haven’t already, just “forget “ to add salt once and you will never again... ;-)


As much as we would like to get salt from a local source, that is not possible. Salt is apparently a strongly regulated commodity in Switzerland. Nevertheless, the salt monopoly has a fantastic Swiss salt called "Sel des Alpes" (Salt from the Alps).
